History of a hotel
Located right next to the Church of San Giorgio di Moneglia, Hotel Abbadia San Giorgio occupies a former monastery, built in 1484 by a group of Franciscan monks.
In the mid 16th century, Cardinal Clemente Dolera enlarged the monastery, adding guest quarters, an infirmary and a library said to have housed over 700 volumes.
It was not until 2004 that the monastery and its double cloister were transformed into one of Liguria's most exclusive hotels.

Bedrooms and suites are located off the cloisters, which now frame the hotel's peaceful inner garden.
In Abbadia San Giorgio's romantic rooms, wrought iron beds, diaphanous drapes and time-worn terracotta floors, combine with satellite LCD televisions, Wi-Fi and air conditioning to provide the maximum in old world charm and contemporary comfort
