Spoleto Festival - Festival dei Due Mondi Spoleto

The Festival of Two Worlds began in 1958, an event unique in its conception, spirit and criteria, embracing all aspects of the performing and figurative arts. It is the first festival of its kind in Italy and will remain the only one for many years to come.

The founder Gian Carlo Menotti calls every year on some of the best directors, choreographers, conductors, set directors, costume designers and musicians, as well as many new talents, thereby creating the winning atmosphere which accompanies the Spoleto Festival.
