Marche Pesaro

Birthplace of Gioacchino Rossigni, known for its flourishing crafts industry using majolica, copper and iron.

Pesaro was founded by the Romans on the ancient road, the Via Flaminia. The fame of the city is associated with the musician Gioacchino Rossini who was born here. It is also renowned for its crafts industry. The Majolica of Pesaro are known world wide, as are the pieces worked in wrought iron and copper.
