If you're looking for a historic hideaway in the peaceful countryside of Marche, you're going to love Locanda di Villa Torraccia: a gorgeous little hotel in the hills just outside the sunny seaside city of Pesaro.
History in the making
A unique rural retreat, Villa Torraccia occupies an old stone building dating back to the 14th century.
Originally a watch tower, the fortified edifice was subsequently transformed into a lighthouse which was used to illuminate the old road leading to Pesaro
Less than a century after its construction, in the 15th century, Villa Torraccia became a private residence. In recent years, the building has been restored and converted into an intimate country inn.
With their time-worn terracotta floors, exposed ceiling beams, wrought iron beds, magnificent open fireplaces and exquisite items of antique furniture, Villa Torraccia's suites have all the ingredients for a night to remember!
The walls may be medieval but the in-room amenities are anything but!
Book early to avoid disappointment: Villa Torraccia provides guest accommodation in just five suites.
Set in meticulously manicured Italian gardens, the hotel boasts a total of three panoramic terraces where guests can relax, soak up the sun and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful views of Pesaro, the Foglia river valley and the Adriatic sea.
