La Lodola Farmhouse Holidays

La Lodola is a farm-stay situated in the countryside of Asciano, small town just half an hour's drive from Siena. Here, in the heart of the Crete Senesi, a farm house dating back to the 19th century has been converted in seven charming apartments in which to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Tuscan home.

The apartments are, in fact, typically Tuscan in style, featuring exposed wooden beam ceilings, old stone fireplaces, canopied beds and bathrooms in travertine marble. All apartments have a large living room with kitchenette and an external dining area where to enjoy meals al fresco.

During the warm summer months, guests while away the hours sunbathing in the solarium or swimming in La Lodola's pool. Nearby Rapolano, famous for the health-inducing properties of its thermal waters since the times of the Etruscans, is a popular destination throughout the year.

La Lodola is also a well-known agricultural estate and part of the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Consortium. Featuring high on the list of the quality products produced here, we find the excellent "Fornacino" Chianti Classico DOCG wine, the "Aura" and "Vigna del Barba" IGT wines, and the much prized "Fornacino" Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Agriturismo La Lodola is situated in the countryside of Asciano, just 30kms from the Medieval city of Siena. The old farmhouse, transformed in a series of welcoming apartments, is located on the high plain of Chiarne, in the heart of Tuscany's Crete Senesi.
Rapolano Terme, famous both for its thermal waters and ancient Travertine quarries, is just a ten minute drive away. Guests need travel just a few kilometers from the farm-stay to find themselves in the heart of Chianti Classico, territory where some of Tuscany's finest wines and extra virgin olive oils are produced.
Again, within kilometers of La Lodola, this time in the direction of Val d'Orcia, a number of Tuscany's most beautiful towns can be found: Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni and San Quirico d'Orcia.
