Campo Regio Relais (Historical Residences) Siena

Via della Sapienza, the road on which the Campo Regio Relais is situated, was once one of the major thoroughfares of the old medieval city and home to all the principal faculties of the city's university and the Intronati library. The library, right next door to the hotel, still functions to this very day and is a fascinating place to visit, in virtue of both the incredible collection of valuable volumes housed here and the building itself.
