The villa was built in 1778 as the out-of-town residence of Antonio Sortino Trono, the head of one of what was then one of Sicily's most influential aristocratic families. More than 200 years later, his descendents have opened the doors of their elegant country residence to holidaymakers who seek a special and truly authentic Sicilian retreat.
