Each apartment has conserved its original structure in local stone, made all the more appealing by the careful integration of modern amenities and technology. Three of the houses (Ariete, Gemelli and Cancro) have been designed with disabled guests in mind, and are completely free of architectural barriers. Case dello Zodiaco's houses are small period residences featuring a pleasing combination of old world charm and contemporary technology and design. The houses, in various locations in the historic center of Modica, all have a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and a small library containing the classics of Sicilian literature. "Casa Ariete", situated in Via Ciceri, is the largest of the houses and sleeps 8. The "Casa Vergine" and "casa Gemelli" are located close to Via Asmara. The first has a small outdoor area. The second features an ancient bread oven, now used as larder, and a small balcony with view over the roof tops of Modica. The "Casa Bilancia" and "Casa Cancro" occupy part of an 18th century edifice. "Casa Cancro" opens out onto a pretty internal courtyard.
