Grand Hotel Rimini
5 stars luxury www.grandhotelrimini.comThe Grand Hotel Rimini, a national monument under the protection of the Superintendent of Fine Arts, first opened its doors to an elite international clientele in 1908. The building was designed by the South American architect Paolo Somazzi, and originally had two decorative domes, which were destroyed by fire in 1920. Severely damaged during the war, the hotel was reconstructed in the 1950s.
The Grand Hotel Rimini gained world wide fame in the 1970's after Federico Fellini used the establishment as the setting for some of the most memorable scenes in films such as "Amarcord" (1973). Today, the sumptuous public rooms still contain the 18th century Venetian and French antiques, the parquet flooring and Venetian chandeliers used to adorn the lobby and salons at the start of the 20th century.
The Grand Hotel Rimini has a total of 117 elegantly furnished rooms and suites, offering a glorious combination of centuries-old finery and the very latest in modern technology, including WI-FI connectivity. Furnished in attractive Neo-classic style, the 51 additional guest rooms located in the Grand Hotel Residenza offer the same extensive range of in-room amenities.
Banquets and gala events are held in the hotel's sumptuous ballroom, hung with immense crystal chandeliers and decorated with period furniture.
Adjacent to the hotel and just seconds away from the sea, the Grand Hotel Rimini's conference center offers 7 versatile meeting rooms with a seating capacity for 630 people. A further 7 function rooms located in the Grand Hotel house as many as 900 people. The hotel's sandy beach is equipped with bar, restaurant and swimming pool.
