Hotel Le Terrazze Conca dei Marini

A mere 4 kilometers away from Amalfi and yet a world away from the tourist bustle of the Amalfi Coast's old Maritime republic, Hotel Le Terrazze enjoys a wonderfully peaceful location in the miniscule fishing village of Conca dei Marini, clinging to the cliffs almost directly above the beach.

Created in 1967, over the years Hotel Le Terrazze has been constantly upgraded so as to offer the maximum in modern comfort. Four categories of room are available: standard, superior, deluxe and junior suite. Whichever type of bedroom they choose, holidaymakers can expect to enjoy marvelous front or side sea views from each and every window, balcony or terrace.

Owner, Emilia Esposito, would have been hard-stretched to find a more apt name for her hotel than "Le Terrazze". Likewise, guests will find it near impossible to forget the spectacular views from the hotel's sweeping terrace, where a delicious Mediterranean breakfast is served in the morning and exciting aperitifs are prepared at sunset. The hotel's Corallo Restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment and will reopen for the 2011 season.

For centuries, Italy's Amalfi Coast has been one of the world's most sought-after seaside holiday destinations. In the 1960's, the small beach of Conca dei Marini became a favorite among discerning members of the international jet set, and divas the likes of Jacqueline Kennedy and Sophia Loren were frequently spotted here. Today's holidaymakers are still able to relish the peace and quiet of Conca dei Marini whilst, at the same time, having access to a whole range of tourist services, from boat and kayak rental to excursions with the local fishermen and visits to the nearby Grotta dello Smeraldo, situated in an inlet not far from the main beach. During their stay at Le Terrazze, guests should be sure to spend at least one day in the Lattari mountains, behind the hotel, perhaps walking along the magnificent "Sentiero degli Dei" coastal path.
