The library, right next door to the hotel, still functions to this very day and is a fascinating place to visit, in virtue of both the incredible collection of valuable volumes housed here and the building itself.
Within easy walking distance of the hotel, guests find the Piazza del Campo; the immense square which, twice a year, provides the stage for the spectacular Palio horse race.

Relais Campo Regio enjoys a superb location in the center of Siena, one of the most beautiful cities of art in Tuscany and the whole of Italy. All of the city's principal sites of interest, it's cathedral, museums, and the Piazza del Campo, are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Just a few kilometers away from the hotel one finds the fascinating medieval hill top towns which characterise the province of Siena; San Gimignano, Montalcino, Monteriggioni, Montepulciano, Pienza; and the great Tuscan cities of Florence, Pisa, Arezzo and Lucca.
The nearest airports are those of Florence (70km) and Pisa (90km). Just 300m away from the Campo Region Relais one finds the main bus terminal for both local buses and long distance coaches. Siena railway station is located 3kms from the hotel. Those arriving from the North by car should take the A1 motorway and exit at Firenze Certosa and then proceed along the Superstrada Firenze-Siena. Those travelling from the South should also take the A1 motorway and exit at Valdichiana from where to continue their journey via the Bettolle-Siena highway.
