Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi Castel di Lama - Marche
Countryside Residences
Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi rests on the lush hillside of the River Tronto valley, with views which extend from the Sibillini Mountains to the Gran Sasso peak, and downwards to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea.
The historic complex, built in three distinct periods, is comprised of the Relais Villa, an ancient medieval fortress, transformed in country residence in the 18th century; the San Pancrazio Cottage, and other recently restored buildings dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, all of which sheltered by the medieval perimeter walls. In 1870 the Carfratelli Seghetti family engaged the services of the eminent German landscape architect, Ludwig Winter, to design a garden filled with exotic palms and terraced citrus trees.
Today, guests staying at the Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi sojourn in suites decorated with unique items of antique furniture and equipped with a complete range of modern facilities. 5 of the establishment's 10 suites are located in the Relais Villa whilst the luxurious duplexe suites with bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchenette, are situated in the San Pancrazio Cottage.
Guests dining at the hotel's "La Quintana" restaurant are presented with menus featuring a variety of traditional local dishes and the finest contemporary Italian cuisine. In the summer, a tasty cold buffet is served by the pool. Deliciously light dishes prepared using same-day-fresh seasonal produce from the Borgo's kitchen garden and surrounding countryside and monitored by on-site nutritionist Dr Mauro Mario Mariani, are served at the Coffee House.
A small fitness facility, equipped with exercise bike, Swedish wall bars, floor exercise equipment and sauna is located next to the swimming pool.
The property's ancient riding stables have been restored and transformed in a fabulous multifunctional space perfect for small scale business meetings.
