Tenuta La Bandita Sassetta

Tenuta La Bandita is a centuries-old property situated in the upper part of the Val di Cornia, just a few kilometers away from the coast which from Livorno leads to Piombino. An 18th century villa in the vicinity of the towns of Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci, Tenuta La Bandita gazes out over the sun drenched hills of the Maremma and a typical Tuscan landscape of vineyards and olive groves, in close proximity of the sea and beaches.

Tenuta la Bandita is comprised of three buildings: the 18th century Villa Padronale, the Foresteria and the Ulivi. Three edifices in which to relive the atmosphere of times past. Period paintings, antique furniture, precious ornaments, and various works of art embellish the interiors of the Villa's elegant public rooms and the 10 bedrooms reserved for guests. A further 14 rooms are located in the Foresteria and the Ulivi. Guests sojourning at the Tenuta La Bandita relax in the comfortable drawing rooms or by the large outdoor swimming pool, this latter set in the property's attractive gardens.

At the Tenuta La Bandita's restaurant, guests are presented with menus featuring regional dishes and all the specialities of the Maremma, prepared using the organic produce grown on the Tenuta's farm. Guests have the opportunity to savour La Bandita's exceptional organic olive oil and cheeses but also the highly prized wild boar meat and Cinta senese pork, obtained from the animals reared on the estate. To accompany each meal, a selection of the superb wines for which Tuscany is famous, wines such as the Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Grattamacco and Paleo. Wine tastings, cooking courses, and guided tours of the olive presses and vineyards are available on request.
