Liguria Restaurants

One of the characteristics of Ligurian cuisine is the use of herbs such as basil, marjoram, borage, sage, parsley and rosemary, which give flavour and aroma to all dishes. The most famous culinary creation has to be the pesto alla Genovese. A dish which is less well known, but equally delicious, is the Cappon Magro. Not surprisingly, Ligurian cooking is also strongly linked to the sea, as demonstrated by the host of maritime specialities to be found on any menu.

Cinque Terre Bianco, Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà and Rossese di Dolceacqua are three of the best Ligurian wines.
