Grand Hotel Quisisana
5 stars luxury www.quisisana.comThe Grand Hotel Quisisana was originally a sanatorium built in 1845 by English doctor George Clark. Surrounded by its own enchanting garden, it offers the most up-to-date conveniences and comforts while maintaining its classical style. Throughout the years the Morgano family has been able to conceive and create a typical italian style hotel by giving an interpretation of Mediterranean art and way of living.
"The Quisisana is now a symbol of Capri, nearly as much as the Blue Grotto. Sovereigns, actors, writers, industrialists and jet-setters are "habitués". These have included Sidney Sheldon, Claudette Colbert, Tom Cruise, John Belushi, Duran Duran, the Agnelli, George Ford, Giancarlo Menotti, Ernest Hemingway, Jean Paul Sartre, and the Savoy Family. It's really impossible to list them all, and I apologize for my omissions.
We have 150 rooms, including Suites and Junior Suites (some Penthouse ones), in all, space for nearly 300 guests. The "Quisi" Restaurant and the "Colombaia" by the pool serve delicious meals. The QuisiBeauty facilities include a gym, massage, sauna, Turkish and whirlpool baths for good health. There is also a large open air pool, a cozy indoor one, and two tennis courts (synthetic grass).
Since 1985 the Quisisana has been a full member of "The Leading Hotels of the World. "My goal is to have a Hotel with a high reputation, always mantaining a high level, and keeping in mind that it's difficult to go up, very hard to hold the level, easy to fall down, and absolutely impossible to rise again!"
