Villa Poggiano is situated two kilometres from Montepulciano, on a hilltop overlooking the gently sloping hills of the Orcia Valley, in the midst of a 15-acre centenary park.

In a long period of renovation, the Villa, which dates back to the 17th century, was diligently restored to its past splendor by its present owners. The Villa accommodates its guests in refined and exclusive surroundings and retains the warmth of family-style management. On the premises is a magnificent and unique swimming pool with statues and fountains made entirely of travertine stone, built at the beginning of the 1900's.

Villa Poggiano is the ideal setting for those who are looking for a place that combines elegance, peace, quiet and privacy with family-style hospitality. Owing to its location, Villa Poggiano is an ideal point of departure for day trips to cities famous for their art, such as Siena, Florence, Perugia, Assisi and Rome, as well as to the world-renowned small towns of Montepulciano, Pienza, Monticchiello, Montalcino, Cortona, located in the immediate vicinity.
The Villa has a separate residence, "Montorio", which consists of 5 individual apartments and is situated at the foot of Montepulciano.

Hotel Villa Poggiano is situated in the enchanting countryside immediately outside the hill top town of Montepulciano, in Tuscany's Val d'Orcia. An ideal base for those wishing to visit the great art cities of Siena, Florence and Grosseto, Villa Poggiano is also within easy driving distance of Assisi, Perugia, and the small medieval towns of Pienza, Montalcino and Cortona.

Those travelling by car from the North should take the A1 motorway and exit at Valdichiana from where to continue towards Montepulciano - Chiusi. From the South, drivers should exit the A1 motorway at Chiusi- Chianciano Terme and follow indications for Chianciano Terme and Montepulciano.
The railway station of Chiusi Chianciano is just a few kilometers away from Hotel Villa Poggiano, whilst the nearest airports are those of Perugia (60km), Florence (100km), Pisa (150km), and Rome Leonardo di Vinci (160km).
