Torre Almonte Todi - Umbria

Torre Almonte is a beautifully restored medieval stronghold, situated in the countryside just outside the city of Todi. Recently transformed in exclusive hotel, Torre Almonte is surrounded by an immense park and 19th century garden, this latter offering a magnificent display of antique roses.

The interiors of the period residence contain a sophisticated combination of centuries old original features and sleek modern designer items: floors in terracotta, exposed wooden beam ceilings, stone fireplaces and antique doors living side-by-side stylish contemporary furnishings. Intimate and exclusive, Torre Almonte provides guest accommodation in just two suites and two apartments, one on each of the four floors of the edifice. All rooms have stunning views over the Umbrian countryside. The apartments have a fully equipped kitchen and hydromassage bathtub.

On the ground floor of the Torre Almonte there is a spacious dining room with one large table, on which traditional Umbrian dishes are served. The dining room is also used for tastings of local gastronomic products and wines. For those wishing to learn a little more about Umbria's culinary tradition, Torre Almonte organises a series of entertaining cooking courses. The small 18th century oratory, situated right next to the tower, provides a charming venue where to celebrate religious services.

From the heights of its hill top position, Torre Almonte boasts magnificent views over the enchanting Umbrian landscape below. In the garden, next to the century old olive tree grove, there is a designer swimming pool and solarium.
