Romeo Hotel Napoli - Bay of Naples

A masterpiece of modern architecture and design overlooking the port of what, for many, is the most exciting of Southern Italian cities, the Romeo Hotel is Naples' first five star luxury hotel and the first design hotel to have opened right in the heart of the city.

A spectacular explosion of light, Romeo Hotel's steel and glass fish-scale facade is the work of Paul Tange, of Kenzo Tange & Associates, the leading Japanese architectural firm responsible for the restructuring/reconversion of Naples' old Palazzo Lauro.

Romeo Hotel houses an impressive collection of contemporary art, including works realized especially for the hotel by Francesco Clemente, Lello Esposito, and Sergio Fermariello, and a series of images by eight highly regarded Neapolitan photographers, all of whom have managed to capture on film the many faces and multiple languages of Naples. In the hotel's public rooms, Hermès' chairs upholstered in crocodile skin alternate with the Holly Hall seating designed by Philppe Starck and Antonio Citterio's B&B furniture sits side by side rare antique items dating from the 14th to 18th centuries.

Located on the rooftop, from where it enjoys an enchanting view over the Bay of Naples and the island of Capri, Romeo Hotel's "Il Comandante" restaurant serves fabulous contemporary haute cuisine, inspired by the city's age old gastronomic traditions. Amidst a striking display of polished marble, impact glass, and Macassar ebony; the hotel's immense ground floor lobby is home to the eclectic light bar "Cristallo", the Cigar room and the "Zero" sushi bar, this latter considered by many to serve the best Japanese cuisine in the whole of Italy.

Romeo Hotel has a total of 83 luxurious guest rooms, including 24 wonderfully spacious suites overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius. On the first floor of the hotel there is an elegant foyer and five meeting rooms of various dimensions, with a seating capacity for up to 170 people.

The ninth floor of the hotel is entirely devoted to guests' wellbeing. This is where the exclusive Daniela Steiner Beauty Spa is located, with indoor and outdoor hydrotherapeutic pools, emotional showers, hammam and sauna. Massages and a superb range of personalised face and body treatments are performed in stylish, custom designed treatment rooms. The hotel's panoramic fitness room is equipped with latest generation techno gym appliances.
