Casa Lemmi San Quirico d'Orcia - Tuscany

The bed & breakfast Casa Lemmi lies is situated in San Quirico D'Orcia, in a building originally Norman and dating back to the beginning of the last millennium. The hotel overlooks the Collegiata Church of San Quirico D'Orcia, the ancient hamlet once the refuge of the Knights Templar, Imperial residence, a guest house, convent, fortified house, and for at least three hundred years, the home of the owner of a nearby estate in the Val D'Orcia.

The individually appointed rooms open off a stairwell which rises towards a bright, sunny dome. The stairwell was originally Romanesque but has been altered many times over the course of time until it gained its present appearance in the nineteenth century. In a separate wing, once used for agricultural purposes, there are now guest rooms.

The exterior, like secret eyes, looks out at the noteworthy monuments of San Quirico and the Val D'Orcia. The breakfast is served in the "Sala Normanna" or, during the summer season, in the small courtyard garden.
