Three reasons why you'll love it here
- Urban chic in the heart of medieval Asti
- An entire guest house for just two people
- Contemporary art and design in a 13th century tower
If you had to use only one word to describe Rotarius, then it would have to be unique. Because the idea of transforming the tower of Asti's medieval Roero di Monteu Palace in an exclusive suite is, quite simply, unique.
Boutique tower
Rotarius is a place in which history and hospitality combine to provide a tantalizing mixture of period charm and contemporary luxury
Accessed via a magnificent stairway and a pretty little terrace, the apartment features a bedroom with stunning, 6 meter high ceiling, massif exposed brick walls, imposing arches, and large bifore windows, through which unique glimpses of the historic center of Asti can be seen.
A leather king size bed takes pride of place in the center of the room. Beautiful designer furniture, lighting and accessories result in a quietly sophisticated urban atmosphere.
Art and Asti
The clever contrast of old and new continues in the suite's small 18th century parlor.
Adorned with impressive works of contemporary art, the sitting room is the perfect place in which to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and, in the evening, a glass or two of the Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Rotarius" wine which guests find in the suite on their arrival.
5 star luxury
During their stay, the two guests staying in Rotarius' suite are reserved the attention one would expect to receive in the most luxurious of 5 star hotels.
The courtesy and discretion of the staff ensure that a vacation spent in the Rotarius period residence is always a truly unforgettable one.
Location Rotarius
Rotarius is an exclusive period residence located in the medieval tower of the ancient Roero di Monteu Palace, in the heart of the historic center of Asti. The guest house is named after the ancient Rotartorium district in which it is located, and which, in the 14th century, was made a "free municipality" by Emperor Henry IV of Luxemburg.
Asti is the city where the famous dramatist Vittorio Alfieri was born and where Italy's oldest Palio race is run. Asti is, above all, the most important town in Monferrato, the area of Piedmont where many of the region's most highly prized Italian wines are made.
