A family passion

The owners and creators of this exclusive historic house, the Clocchiatti family, were responsible for the masterly restoration project which has returned the mysterious medieval building to its original splendor and resulted in the provision of quite unique and fascinating holiday accommodation.

A journey back in time

Situated on the first floor of the three storey building, La Brunelde's three bedrooms still contain the traces of centuries past, all featuring a beautiful combination of original wooden beam ceilings, exposed stone walls, ancient timber floors, and exquisite period furnishings.

Wine in the courtroom, dinner in the cellar

La "Sala della Giustizia" and "La Canipa" are, without shadow of doubt, the most fascinating of La Brunelde's ancient rooms.

The magnificent Sala della Giustizia, once the seat of the local court rooms, is the heart of the residence. Here, seated around the imposing stone fireplace, guests gather to enjoy a glass of the Friuli's excellent wine or to simply relax whilst reading a good book.

On request, the Sala della Giustizia functions as sumptuous banqueting hall, and has a seating capacity for as many as 45 dinner guests

The edifice's old cellar, "La Canipa", has been sensitively converted in kitchen and small dining room, decorated with area's traditional country furnishings and a fascinating collection of old farming utensils.

Parties in the garden

During the day, guests might easily be found exploring La Brunelde Domus Magna's extensive gardens, walking along one of the many enchanting pathways which have been created amidst the lush greenery. In fine weather, the gardens provide an idyllic outdoor venue for elegant social events for as many as 100 guests.
