Sleeping under the stars

Over a century ago, in this splendid lakeside villa, Lady Merion whiled away the days toying with her favorite 'capricci': painting, poetry and, above all, music. The hall, public rooms, and bedrooms still conserve the elegant and eclectic style which distinguished the villa's original owner.

In the residence's individually appointed bedrooms, furnished with antiques and four poster beds, guests sleep under ceilings lit to resemble the night sky.

Dinner and dance

Music and cuisine are the major protagonists of an evening spent in Capricci di Merion's intimate restaurant. The wine list contains a flawless selection of Italian wines, with particular emphasis on local, Umbrian wines.

Just as in the days when Lady Merion used to entertain her guests here, today's holidaymakers are treated to the finest traditional Umbrian dishes, accompanied by the delicate notes of live harp music
