Surrounded by a lush 50 hectare estate in the countryside outside of Citerna, a picturesque town in the province of Perugia on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, the Ferraguzzo estate, with two large independent vacation villas, welcomes you to the Valtiberina valley with warm Italian hospitality for a holiday of adventure and relaxation.

Even first-time guests who arrive at the two rustic yet modern renovated farmhouses are received like family friends, as tradition dictates in the Umbrian countryside.

The two large renovated farmhouses, Villa Colonica and Villa Padronale, offer a total of 16 spacious, bright rooms. Both are decorated with the elegant simplicity of Umbrian and Tuscan country homes, with the addition of all the modern comforts guests need for an impeccably relaxing stay.

Both villas date to the 18th century and have been renovated by the current owners using original materials and maintaining the architectural details that make these historic farmhouses so enchanting.

The insulation of the houses is provided by natural cork, and the doors and windows fashioned from local chestnut wood. The antique furniture, wrought iron beds, open air living areas - including the porch of Villa Padronale - for relaxing outdoors in the summer months, and the working fireplace in Villa Colonica for cozy winter nights...you'll love every small detail at Ferraguzzo.

Relax by the Pool

In addition to the ample indoor space, at Ferraguzzo guests can relax in the large garden surrounding the villas, with a charming gazebo, a bocce pitch, a small grass sports field, and a brick barbecue for preparing meals al fresco with the excellent local ingredients.

Each villa has its own independent pol: Villa Padronale has a 18 m x 6 m pool with stairs, while Villa Colonica has a pool with massage jets and shower!

There is also a small playground for young travellers, and those who love exploring by mountain bike can take to the nearby bike trails, from easy to difficult.
