Castello di Camemi of Vizzini Scalo dates back to the 15th century, when the noble Ventimiglia family chose the beautiful countryside of Val di Noto in which to realize a splendid fortified residence. The castle was, above all, the sumptuous summer retreat of Bianca di Navarra, Queen of Sicily, protagonist of any number of legends and tales of this enchanting corner of Sicily.

Decorated with a sophisticated combination of period and contemporary furnishings, a number of the Superior and Imperial rooms have bathrooms with luxurious hydromassage bathtub.

The ancient grain store overlooking the court now provides the unique setting for Castello Camemi's restaurant. Here, in a dining room characterized by massive stone walls, exposed wooden beam ceilings and exquisite period furnishings, guests are presented with a menu which includes delicious dishes prepared according to 18th century recipes, and a selection of rose oils, the latter a privilege once reserved for the Sicilian aristocracy. The wine cellar contains an impressive selection of the island's most important wines.

Castello Camemi's swimming pool is the perfect place where to relax, enjoying the peace and quiet of this ancient residence. In the shade of the magnificent palm tree, surrounded by an explosion of colorful bougainvillea, guests while away the hours admiring the views of the Sicilian countryside.
