In a unique location within the historical centre of Perugia, the Hotel Brufani Palace, which for over one hundred years has hosted the Gotha of royal families, of politicians, and of high finances, has once again returned to its antique splendour.

The halls with their painted ceilings and great stone fireplaces, the rooms and the suites furnished with antiques and precious cloth transmit an immediate sense of warmth, elegance and refinement. History: Giacomo Brufani, originally from Assisi, came from a peasant family, but at an early age he developed a pronounced aptitude for turism. In fact he used to act as an "assistant" to tourists visiting Umbria by stage-coach. He would tie the horses, see to animals' need and then take the people on tours of the various towns. But Mr Brufani decided to offer more qualified hospitality and in 1884 he built the Hotel which was to immortalize his name. All the greatest names of high society and nobility of Europe vied with each other for a room at this hotel, the latest in modernity and luxury. Among the recent most important guests we recall Albert of Monaco and the Queen Mother of England.
