Villa di Tizzano. is a splendid, 16th-century villa. The property of one of Florence's oldest families and respected wine makers, it stands on a hill overlooking the Tizzano Chianti vineyards. Interestingly, the site of "Villa di Tizzano" originally housed an 11th century observation tower. In the 16th century this was enlarged and adapted to be restored and completed in the 19th century. ?"Villa di Tizzano" commands breathtaking views over rolling vineyards and the Duomo of Florence. The picturesque, two-acre garden was designed in the 1930s by the famous English architect, Cecil Pinsent. The garden leads up to front terrace of the house and makes the perfect spot for reading, relaxing and al fresco dining.
