Villa Bianca Gambassi Terme

Hotel Villa Bianca enjoys an enviable position in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, just outside the historic spa village of Gambassi Terme and a few minutes drive away from the celebrated hill top town of San Gimignano.

The hotel is situated in a 19th century Florentine villa, recently restored and transformed in a delightful 10 room hotel. The rooms of Hotel Villa Bianca are all quite unique, each and every one having been hand painted by Giulio Greco. The well known Italian artist took his inspiration from the surrounding gardens and Tuscan countryside to create delicately decorated rooms dedicated to the Sun, Moon, Robin, Rose, Olive tree, Vine, Flowers, Butterflies, Wheat, and Wisteria.

Only the finest Tuscan cuisine is served in the dining room of the hotel's "Gambasinus" restaurant or on the panoramic veranda of the "Rose Garden". Here, in quite beautiful surroundings, guests are given the opportunity to savour excellent regional products such as Chianina beef, Cinta Senese Pork, cheese from Pienza and the prestigious white truffles of San Miniato.

The wine list is more than worthy of mention, featuring a quite faultless selection of Tuscan and Italian wines. For those wishing to learn a little more about each vintage and the methods of wine production in Tuscany, a series of fascinating sommelier led wine tastings are regularly held in the Hotel Villa Bianca's "Caratello" wine cellar. During the summer season, light refreshments are available at the open air bar close to the swimming pool.
