Relais Villa Matilde Romano Canavese

Relais Villa Matilde is situated in Romano Canavese; a peaceful little town dominated by a high bell tower, located close to the boundary of Valle d'Aosta, just 20 miles North of Turin.

The Relais occupies what was once an elegant patrician Villa dating back to the 18th century. Recent renovation work has succeeded in restoring the building's original beauty and transforming it in luxury hotel.

The hotel has a total of 43 individually appointed guestrooms, 35 of which located in the main building. A number of the rooms boast magnificent painted ceilings while all feature beautiful wooden floors, custom made furniture, and are equipped with every modern convenience.

The "Scuderia", or stables, located next to the main villa, have been masterly transformed in Gourmet Restaurant. Here guests savor typical specialties of the region such as the much-celebrated "fonduta" and truffles. The finest dishes of Piedmont are accompanied by excellent local wines featured in the restaurant's impressive wine list.

Once used as an outbuilding where to house the potted lemon trees during the winter, today the Limonaia provides a pleasant open air restaurant and bar overlooking the hotel's swimming pool.

When not lounging by the pool, guests have the opportunity to use the SINA Wellness Club equipped with 4 treatment rooms for massages and beauty treatments, a Jacuzzi, Steam bath, sauna, and a fitness room with state of the art Technogym machines.
