Villa Castellani Sermide

Villa Castellani is a luxurious villa situated on the banks of the river Po in the heart of the Padana plain. The expertly restored residence, dating back to the late 19th century, is situated in Sermide, a peaceful little town near Mantova, in a territory which straddles the Italian regions of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, and Veneto. The tranquillity to be enjoyed at Villa Castellani is guaranteed by the extensive gardens and park which surround the property.

Villa Castellani offers weekly vacations for a maximum of ten guests in five elegant bedrooms, each of which beautifully appointed with period paintings and unique items of antique furniture. A large reception area, two drawing rooms, dining room, and kitchen are all at guests disposal.

The gardens of the villa provide an attractive setting for a large, open air swimming pool. Thanks to its strategic position, Villa Castellani is the perfect base from where to head off in to the Po valley and explore the many sites of interest in the area.

The cities of Mantova, Verona, Padua, Vicenza, Ferrara, Modena, Bologna, Este, Montagnana and Monselice are all no more than an hour's drive away. By travelling just a little further North, guests come to Lake Garda, whilst, to the East, we find Venice, Ravenna, Parma and the Po delta. An ideal destination for nature lovers, Villa Castellani is close to the nature reserves of Sermide, Ostiglia and Carbonara Po, where to admire the flora and fauna which inhabit the fertile banks of the river Po.
