Grand Hotel et De Milan Milano

The Grand Hotel et de Milan first opened its doors to guests in 1863, under the name of Albergo di Milano, and was soon to become the preferred address of international travellers, businessmen and diplomats, thanks to its luxurious accommodations, extremely central location, and its modern post and telegraph services, the latter making the hotel quite unique amongst Milan's hospitality establishments of the era. The Grand Hotel et de Milan is member of The Leading Hotels of the World.

Grand Hotel et de Milan's rooms and suites are all individually appointed with items of original furniture. A large number of the hotel rooms are dedicated to the illustrious guests who chose the Grand Hotel et de Milan as their residence. The royal suite has been dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi who resided in the hotel in 1872, for 27 years.

Grand Hotel et de Milan has two superb restaurants, the "Caruso" and the "Don Carlos". Both propose menus featuring the finest tradizional Italian cuisine, prepared by Chef Angelo Gangemi. A large selection of prestigious wines ensures the perfect accompaniment to every dish. Restoration work carried out from 1990 to 1993 revealed fascinating Roman remains which can now be viewed directly beneath the Don Carlos Restaurant.

The elegantly decorated Puccini lounge, Giordano lounge, Verdi lounge, featuring rare items of period furniture, provide sumptuous function rooms for all manner of exclusive event in Milan.
