Palazzo Tornabuoni Apartments Firenze

Palazzo Tornabuoni Apartments

The Palazzo Rimbotti dates back to the 14th century, at a time when Florence was beginning to expand beyond the Roman central nucleus. The Via Tornabuoni and the Piazza Antinori were at that time, side streets leading out towards the city exits and indeed the Church of San Michele, as San Gaetano was then named, was on a secondary, alley compared to the Via delle Belle Donne which runs parallel. It was only much later, towards the mid-15th century that Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori were expanded and became the place where rich Florentines bought and refurbished palaces to turn them into stately homes. Throughout the centuries, the palazzo was remodelled extensively, acquiring its present day aspect around the mid 18th century.

We have selected some of the finest apartments in Florence with the utmost care, always making sure that they had a reason for excellence, (the heart of elegant historic Florence, celebrated views, heritage buildings).
