Casa Bismark Villas
Casa Bismark is located along "Via Palazzo a Mare", the area of the island of Capri where the Emperor August erected one of the imperial villa of the island. At "Bagni di Tiberio"''', actually one of the most suggestive beaches of Capri, one can admire the few remains of the ancient imperial villa. A large exedra and the tubs for the fishes, probably built or extended by Tiberio.
Maybe Alexandre Dumas thought there when He wrote:" In these villas... All adorned with columns of marble surmounted by golden capital and closed by friezes of agate, there was tanks of porphyry where silver fish of the Ganges darted, and on the floor emeralds and rubies set in mosaic...".
Casa Bismark lies in the heart of the ancient August Villa, century later occupied by ex Villa Williams Bismark, also known as the "Fortino" (blockhouse). It incorporated the fort of the French soldiers at the beginning of the '800, to protect the ancient remains rescued from the Bourbons archaeologist. Today the outdoors of Villa Bismark remember the ancient time for the columns and the marbles.
Casa Bismark don't disappoint who knows the history of the villa and the neighbourhood, a residence by elegant furniture, but never excessive. From the entrance you enter in a large and light filled living room, that is the cross for all the rooms. Very charming is the design of the room, from there: a panoramic terrace and a wide and scented garden divided on two level. Immediately your attention will be for a wonderful magnolia and an amazing view on Marina Grande. Casa Bismark has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a little, but well equipped, kitchen make complete an house, that nothing envy to the big villas.
