The edifice of Palazzo San'Anna housed, right up until the end of the last century, the convent of Sant' Anna, inhabited by the nuns of the San Basilio Magno order. After extensive restoration work, the building opened its doors to those visitors wishing to discover the still relatively unexplored land of Calabria and the National Park of Aspromonte.
Palazzo Sant'Anna is a charming little hotel furnished in accordance with the style of the original building. Palazzo Sant'Anna is located in the center of Gerace, a village situated on the Ionian coast of Italy's Calabria region. Built on an attractive outcrop, the village winds upwards in a succession of picturesque narrow streets.
Gerace is well served by train and bus.
The Reggio Calabria and Lamezia Terme International airports are approximately 100kms from Palazzo Sant'Anna.
For those travelling by car, Gerace can be reached by following the Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway as far as Rosarno and then the Ionio-Tirreno Marina of Gioiosa Ionica, Siderno, Locri highroad as far as Gerace. Alternatively, drivers can exit at Gioia Tauro and proceed towards Taurinova, Cittanova, Zomaro in the direction of Locri, Gerace.
Once in Gerace, Palazzo Sant'Anna is easy to find.
