Villa Mannori Vinci - Tuscany
Villas
Villa Mannori is an elegant country residence located in the green hillside of Montalbano. Between the 16th and 17th centuries, part of Montalbano was transformed in the Barco Reale Mediceo: hunting reserve of the noble family of the Medici. The villa is situated on a sunny hill just outside the small Tuscan town of Vinci where the great Renaissance artist Leonardo was born and to whom the town's museum is dedicated.
Those choosing to spend a vacation at Villa Mannori can expect to enjoy all the colors and perfumes of the Tuscan countryside; surrounded by the vineyards, olive groves, woods, and gardens which cover the Barco Reale Mediceo's two hectares of park. Villa Mannori is a characteristic country house, furnished in typical rustic Tuscan style. The same peace and harmony which pervades the surrounding countryside can be experienced in the villa's rooms, furnished with authentic period furnishings and equipped with every modern comfort.
The ground floor, lit by the light flowing through the villas large windows, is comprised of a dining room, living room, reading room, traditional country kitchen complete with wood burning bread oven, and picturesque loggia equipped for outdoor dining. The villa's five bedrooms are located on the first floor as are the properties three bathrooms; fitted with hydromassage bathtub and shower. An immense open fireplace takes pride of place in the sitting room, also on the first floor on the building.
During the long summer season, guests have every opportunity to stroll through the gardens, and venture in to the lush countryside and woods which surround the villa. For those wishing to simply unwind and relax in the Tuscan sun, Villa Mannori has an attractive swimming pool, a furnished gazebo, a pergola for outdoor dining, and a barbecue. A play area complete with swings and other children's games has been created for the Villa's younger guests.
Villa Mannori Location
Villa Mannori is located in the countryside of Montalbano and close to Vinci, the small Tuscan town famous for having been the birthplace of Leonardo, arguably the most important figure of the Italian Renaissance. Montalbano was where the Medici family's "Barco Reale Mediceo" hunting reserve was created: 10.000 acres of beautiful countryside, woodland and meadows, to explore on foot or by bike. This area of Tuscany is famous for the production of excellent wines including the Chianti Montalbano. Art lovers will want to visit Vinci and its Leonardo Museum. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme, Empoli, Certaldo and San Gimignano are all no more than an hour's drive from the Villa.
