Admire National Archaeological Museum of Naples without queueing up!

Museo Nazionale di Capodimonte
Designed by the Bourbons from 1738 onwards, the Royal Palace of Capodimonte is built around the Farnese collection, with extraordinary masterpieces by Titian, Parmigianino and Carracci and a sumptuous display of the applied arts.
Over the centuries the museum was enriched with major works of art from churches in Naples and Southern Italy (Simone Martini, Colantonio, Caravaggio) and prestigious acquisitions, sometimes of entire collections (Borgia, d'Avalos).
On the first floor, alongside the Farnese collection you can see the Royal Apartments with an array of Bourbon craftsmanship, including the celebrated porcelain ware; on the second and third floors there is the Neapolitan Gallery and displays of 19th century and contemporary art.

Museo Archeologico Nazionale
The National Archaeological Museum of Naples is not merely one of the most remarkable collections of ancient exhibits in the world: its rooms house historical collections which can justly claim to be a cornerstone of Italian cultural history. These include the wealth of gems and sculptures inherited by the Bourbons from the Farnese dynasty; the treasures from Herculaneum and Pompeii, a unique heritage of frescoes, sculptures, ornaments and everyday objects; famous collections and new displays such as the history of coins and the celebrated Secret Cabinet, the repository of "obscene" artefacts illustrating the erotic side of life for the ancient Romans.

Certosa e Museo di San Martino
Following exemplary restoration, visitors can once again marvel at the sumptuous church with its Baroque triumph of marble, sculptures, ceramic tiling, paintings and marquetry, as well as pictures and mementoes from the city's history and the striking display of crib scenes.

Castel Sant'Elmo
The star-shaped structure of the castle, an ideal venue for large-scale exhibitions and events, completes the allure of the San Martino complex. The vast parade ground and monumental ramparts afford an unforgettable panorama over the city and the whole sweep of the Bay.

Museo Duca di Martina
The refined neoclassic building houses holds one of the most prestigious collections of European and Oriental decorative art: furnishings, ornaments, glass, ivory, amber, lacquer, coral, tortoise-shell works, and enamels, but chiefly porcelain and majolica objects from the di Martina ducal collections.

Museo Pignatelli Cortes
The princely mansion, built in 1826, it is a rare example of a house-museum. The Museum came in to being in 1955, when Princess Rosina Pignatelli donated the villa and its furnishings to the State. On the first floor there is an exhibition of the art collection owned by the Banco di Napoli and in a building in the park there is the Museo delle Carrozze Marchese Mario D'Alessandro di Civitanova (the Marquess Mario D'Alessandro di Civitanova Carriage Museum).

Museo Archeologico dell'Antica Capua
The archaeological Museum of Ancient Capua is housed in a nineteenth-century building standing on te area of "Torre di Sant'Erasmo" and built over the ruins of the Roman Capitolium, where in 1278 Roberto d'Angiò was born.
The testimonies exposed come from the ancient Capua and its surroundings and are dated from X to III century b.C.; there are evidences showing the transition from the end of the Bronze Age to the beginning of the Iron Age, grave goods from Villanovian necropolis, corinthian vases, bronze and pottery goods.
