La Locanda del Prete of Saragano is a beautifully restored medieval hamlet, recently transformed in stunning country resort for those visitors eager to experience the traditional architecture, cuisine and landscapes of Umbria.

Eleven charming apartments have been created in the 13th century hamlet of Saragano, all of which feature a pleasing combination of exposed wooden beams, stone fireplaces, terracotta floors and furnishings in attractive arte povera style. The apartments sleep 4 to 7 people and include a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, making them the perfect choice for families or groups of friends wishing to self cater.

Buildings once used as warehouses have been converted in the hamlet's wonderfully panoramic restaurant. La Locanda del Prete's traditional Umbrian cuisine is served either in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the Tiberina and Scaloni valleys. Menus feature the freshly baked breads, pasta dishes, soups, spit roasts, and cold cuts typical of the region, and ample quantities of the estate's own highly-prized olive oil. Umbria's Sagrantino wines provide the perfect accompaniment to each and every meal.

Locanda del Prete's Cigar Bar is Umbria's first cigar club, boasting some 4000 cigars of 20 different qualities. The Cigar Bar has quickly become the favorite meeting place of both well-versed cigar connoisseurs and guests tempted to take a puff of their first real Habano, in the company of a glass of rum or vintage port. Those who prefer to relax outdoors will love Locanda del Prete's swimming pool and poolside bar, situated just below the boundary wall of the medieval hamlet, and occasionally used as venue for small social gatherings.
