This is the land of the ancient Contado of Spoleto, an area scattered with beautifully conserved castles, picturesque medieval villages and fascinating museums, all of which testify to the area's centuries-old history. This is also where a highly prized Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a great number of DOC wines, such as the Trebbiano Spoletino and Sagrantino, are produced.
