La Preghiera is situated in the countryside immediately outside the small rural town of Calzolaro, close to the medieval town of Umbertide. An elegant rural retreat in the Upper Tiber valley, La Preghiera provides an excellent base from where to explore the nearby towns and cities of Montone, Città di Castello, Gubbio, and Perugia, and Umbria's beautiful Lake Trasimeno. Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Todi and Orvieto are all within easy driving distance.
